(lot of 2) Antique shotguns, likely using blackpowder shells: (1) J.P. Clabrough & Bros., London, side-by-side shotgun, 10 gauge, 30" barrels, bead front sight, marked at the rib with maker and "Laminated Steel", two exposed hammers, lockplates with maker's name, double triggers, shell ejector, checkered pistol grip figured walnut stock with small brass shield at the underside, steel butt plate with game bird scene, foliate and geometric engraving at lockplates, receiver underside, and trigger guard, Birmingham proof marks at barrels underside, wood with light scratches and one somewhat deeper at left butt stock, action is good but left hammer is broken at front, barrels are light brown with minimal scratching, bores appear smooth and very bright, approx 46.75"l, SN 14630; (1) W. Richards side-by-side percussion shotgun, Belgium, 10 gauge, 33" barrels, bead front sight, the rib marked "Laminated Steel", exposed hammer, lacks right hammer, each lock plate marked W. Richards with oak tree logo, hardwood stock, butt plate with game bird, outer barrel lever at underside is very loose, metal is good with some brown coloring, bores are somewhat dark with no noted dents, overall approx 48.75"l, SN 1701; 16.5lbs total (for shipping purposes only) Detailed condition reports are not included in this catalog.
