05.30.24: In my opinion regarding LOT 2308: I note that both vases and covers are presently intact and structurally secure, the covers are slightly varied in decoration and size, one being slightly smaller than the other (lids are not interchangeable between vases due to size variance), one cover has a minor firing flaw near the finial to the interior and exterior, the same cover has a minor chip to one of the cut “petal” details, one jar having an area of glaze chips to one loop handle, and chipping to foot, most likely occurring during removal from the kiln, UV light examination does not reveal evidence of restoration
