(lot of 2) Russian lacquered and painted papier-mache table boxes, each having black ground and parcel gilt accents, including: (1) sleigh-form box, dated 2000, having hinged lid over shallow drawer, painted with figural scenes depicting children with Santa, snowman, and horse-drawn sleigh, red lacquered interior, apparently unsigned, small area of loss to one side near horse's head, approx 4"h, 6.75"w, 3"d; (1) rectangular lidded box, artist signed lower left, dated 1998, the lid depicting a fairy tale scene of central bearded portrait, flanked by knights on horseback and architectural motifs, revealing red velvet lined interior, rising on short bracket feet, approx 3.5"h, 8.75"w, 5.25"d; 2.5lbs total
