(pair) French Louis XVI style ormolu and silvered bronze vases and covers, 19th c., signed A. Ermane, approx 18"h, 6.5"w, 5.5"d; 24.25lbs total
9.4.25 - In my opinion regarding LOT 3373: I note that both vessels stand sturdy and straight, the handles appearing secure at joinery, and the covers fitting comfortably within the mouth, the silvered finish with inherent light striations that are related to application in my opinion (see images), with some scattered minor spotting, rubs, and light tarnish commensurate with age and use, the gilded finish also with some light rubs and mellowing resulting in typical slight tonal variations, both vases exhibit comparable amounts of sparse, minute surface wear such as small nicks and abrasions consistent with age and use, the metal is free from observed losses, fractures, or notable dings/ dents
