(pair) French Louis XVI style painted-decorated armchairs/ fauteuils, early 20th c., having ribbon crest flanked by turned finials, above padded back, seat, and armrests in mustard relief-patterned jacquard upholstery, with nailhead trim, rising on fluted tapered legs, ending on arrow feet, approx 41"h, 26"w, 21"d, seat height: 17"h
9.4.25 - In my opinion regarding LOT 3407: I note that both chairs are structurally sturdy and sit comfortably, joinery appears secure throughout both chairs, the upholstery remains taut and secure throughout edges and seams, and I do not currently observe tearing, holes, or loss, the raised jacquard pattern with fading commensurate with use (see images), the frames are in an intentionally distressed painted finish and as such exhibit light tonal variations, the paint also having some minor discoloration and sparse, small chipped or flaked losses commensurate with age and use, please refer to attached images
