(pair) French Transitional style side cabinets, 19th c., with bronze dore mounts, each having shaped top with pierced gallery, mask of Pallas Athena flanked by rams heads, above a pair of cabinet doors with parquetry facade, revealing adjustable shelf, over single drawer, rising on tapering cabriole legs, ending on foliate-cast sabots, (one) marble top intact with minor hairline, side panels intact with reinforced separation, finish fading, approx 52.5"h, 25"w, 15"d
09.05.25: In my opinion regarding LOT 3271: I note that both cabinets stand sturdy and appear structurally sound throughout joinery points, both cabinets having scattered splits and separation, mostly occurring at the side panels (see image), some seams with reinforcement and small finish touch ups, one of the side panels with a triangular patched repair (see image) at upper quadrant, both marble tops having inherent natural inclusions and fissures, some with professional stabilizations, also having some professional restorations (see images), ormolu elements remain securely mounted to veneer, cabinet doors remain tight at the hinges, interior shelving appears sturdy, and the drawers operate smoothly, I observe typical minor surface wear such as nicks, light abrasions, and some small veneer chips commensurate with age and use, also having some tonal variations associated with light finish fading, parquetry inlay is overall well-retained, please see attached images
