05.12.25: In my opinion regarding LOT 2358: I note that both stools are presently intact and stand sturdy, the frame feeling structurally sound throughout, as described the padded seat and upholstery are later added, remaining securely bound throughout perimeter and free from observed tearing or holes, the applique trim also remaining secure, both having comparable degrees of minute spotting commensurate with light use, the frames having scattered fills, including to segments of loss to the narrow protruding trim at the top of each leg, I observe a couple minor splits not appearing to affect structural integrity, and minute evidence of old woodworm commensurate with origin, there is typical minor surface wear such as chips, nicks, and abrasions to the frames commensurate with age and use, all being typical of 19th century origin
