03/16/2026- In my opinion regarding LOT: 1066- the pair are overall intact and impressive in size, both exhibiting scattered minor glaze chips most notably along the rim, with some associated small areas of overpainting to conceal these losses, light wear to the gilt accents is present, along with inherent manufacturing imperfections and expected wear underfoot, a UV light examination revealing: one example remains structurally intact with a very small hairline and an overpainted glaze chip at the rim, the second example shows a glue repair and possible old professional restoration to the upper body and neck area with overpainting (mostly visible only under UV light) at this location and to portions of the foot, I am unable to definitively confirm restoration to the foot although the surface suggests the possibility, please refer to images for review
