09/24/2026: In my opinion regarding LOT : 3212- please note that I was unable to fully access the sculptures due to the gallery setup, although I have attempted to photograph both from all accessible sides, both figures stand sturdy, a UV light examination reveals a small area of restoration with overpaint to the toes of one figure, on this same sculpture, the putto appears to have a reduced or chipped little toe, the other sculpture displays what appears to be some possible restorations to some of the grapes, I also note a small opening in putties head, this is very small and appears as a flaw?, both sculptures exhibit typical minute scattered small chips, surface imperfections, some spotting, dust and accumulated dirt, the pair would benefit from a careful cleaning, please refer to the numerous images provided for additional views of the surfaces and noted imperfections, in my opinion, overall the figures are impressive in scale and retain a striking decorative presence, with only scattered minor losses and repairs consistent with age, handling and display
