03.07.24: In my opinion regarding LOT 711: I note that both bergeres are presently intact and structurally sturdy, with varying degrees of staining, particularly to the seat back upholstery, and the fabric appears securely bound to the underlying frame, one chair has a split to the verso of crest rail, and a minute spot of evidence of old woodworm at one of the front legs, the other chair has a minor tear to upholstery on the backside of the chair, additionally I note typical light surface wear such as minor abrasions and scuffs to exposed wood of frame with visible finish loss, the gilt accents are overall well-retained and I do not observe loss to the applied woven trim around upholstery perimeters
