Condition

02.09.26 - In my opinion regarding LOT 3265: Upon close visual and UV light examinations, I note that the glazed and enameled decoration is overall well-preserved, with some scattered areas of typical rubs, primarily to the gilded elements, one having surface-level chipped loss to one of the floral medallions (see image) adjacent to a small green spot appearing inpainted, one of the vases having an old chip at the rim, and a couple of minute, stable hairlines, the other has a couple areas that exhibit slight abnormalities suggesting a possible professional restoration but do not fluoresce under UV light (see images), I am not an expert in works of this nature so I have attached copious images under natural and UV light for your reference, because of the inherent narrow nature of the mouth, I am unable to adequately view the interior to investigate further, I observe some scattered areas if gilt-painted touch ups, which also do not fluoresce, and typical minor iron pitting and small glaze pops, as well as sparse typical minor surface wear such as light abrasions, the vases stand securely on the base, the base is structurally secure with stable minor separation and minute evidence of old woodworm commensurate with origin
