(lot of 2) Contemporary Italian club chairs, Moroso, 21st c., upholstered in the "1947 Small Dot" pattern fabric designed by Charles (American, 1907-1978) and Ray (American, 1912-1988) Eames, red and black colorway, rolled back and arms, with removable seat cushion, rising on tubular black-lacquered wood supports, ending on metal cap feet, approx 27"h, 30"w, 26.5"d, seat height: approx 17.5"h **Provenance: From a fine Austin estate**
CR 8.29.25 - In my opinion regarding LOT 1262: I note both chairs are structurally sturdy, with the upholstery remaining securely bound throughout and tight at the seams. I do not notice an odor emanating from the chairs. The color remains overall vivid and uniform, with some very slight, light discoloration at the arms commensurate with use (see images). Close visual examination reveals a minute pick at the lower seat back (see image) near the seam of one chair, seam remains fully secure. Overall there are a few minute loose threads commensurate with use. The chairs would benefit from a thorough cleaning to resolve lingering dust and grime commensurate with storage/ use.
