(pair) Porcelain and bronze dore five-light candelabra, each modeled as a Chinese Export style turquoise-glazed elephant standing before scrolling ormolu branches, terminating in a turned candle cup, on a rocaille base, approx 17.5"h, 13"w, 9"d, 20lbs total
10.4.24: In my opinion regarding LOT 3138: I note that both candelabra are presently intact and structurally secure, the ormolu elements being securely joined to ceramic elephant, the ormolu maintains an overall uniform, vibrant tone, having some minute pitting, and sparse minor spotting, the edges of the ears of one elephant are slightly rough, seemingly from a few minute glaze chips, the other elephant retaining smooth edges along the ears but having a small segment of loss to the end of the trunk, all candle cups are present and comfortably sit within fitting, close visual and UV light examinations do not reveal additional chipping or losses to the elephants, nor evidence of restoration, and I do not currently observe hairlines/ fractures
