(2) U.S. Army Model 1917 Custom Uniform Coats and one with Trousers: (1) having a 2" standup collar with insignia "U.S." and "4th Infantry Regiment, Company L, buttoned should loops with Captain rank bars, 5 front buttons, 4 buttoned pockets (in order to conserve bronze this uniform coat has buttons made from palm tree nuts and other tree parts, also known as "vegetable ivory"). the left sleeve with 6 month chevron, the lined interior with a single pocket labeled "Kahn Tailoring Co. of Indianapolis", an interior Kahn label marked in pen "Lt. J.B. Scott", approx. measure shoulder to shoulder 17", shoulder to sleeve cuff 24", shoulder to coat hem 24.75", missing one hook at collar, overall coat is in excellent condition; (1) The coat with a 2" standup collar secured by two eye hooks, attached "U.S." and Engineers insignia, the left breast with a single WW1 Victory ribbon, the left shoulder with the patch of the 13th U.S. Army Engineers Regiment, A.E.F., bronze finish field uniform buttons including two at shoulder loops, four pockets with flaps each held by a single button, the coat front with five buttons and a lower hidden snap button, the lined interior with two pockets, two maker tags of Hart, Schaffner & Marx, the pocket tag also reading "for Brandeis Stores, Omaha", the coat measures approx. shoulder to shoulder 16.75", shoulder to sleeve hem 24", shoulder to coat hem 25", coat in good condition but with a few moth holes, regulation trousers with six belt loops, two front and two back pockets, a watch pocket at right front, the fly with four zinc buttons, the upper button marked "U.S. Army", the remaining three buttons marked "U.S.A.", the lower trouser with laces at the leg sides, the trouser waist is approx. 32.5", the length from the crotch to the hem is approx. 26", both coat and trousers have some moth holes, for shipping total of both is approx. 6.5lbs * **Provenance: Collection of T'Odon Charles (Chuck) Leshikar, Jr., (Texas,1946-2020), Vietnam, U.S. Army Lt. ,“Delta Raiders,” D Company, 2nd Battalion, 501st Airborne Infantry Regiment, later Echo Company commander, Silver Star, three Bronze Stars, Soldiers Medal, Purple Heart.
