(3 piece) French Louis XVI style gilt and patinated bronze garniture set, late 19th c., including: (1) figural mantel clock, winged cupid with torch and arrows, enamel fancy dial, Arabic numeral hours and 15 minute markers, time and strike movement marked AD Mougin, white marble plinth, on toupie feet, retaining pendulum and bell, approx 19.75"h, 12.75"w, 6"d; (2) four-light candelabra, some restoration to arms, (one) arm detached but present, approx 24"h, 10"w, 7.25"d, 60lbs total

08.23.24: In my opinion regarding LOT 3430: As described one of the candelabra has a detached arm which is currently secured to the central standard with a small piece of wire, requiring welding/ soldered restoration for reattachment, also as described several other arms display minor restorations to fractures at joinery, I note that all garniture elements are presently intact, the marble bases having typical minute chipping at edges commensurate with age and use, the large cupid is intact with a small fracture to the bushel carrying arrows strapped to the back, I observe typical patination of the bronze with light tonal variations, upon examination of the clock’s inner workings, the movement was found to operate for about thirty seconds before stopping for an unknown reason
