Regarding lot 917 Monumental dore bronze Charpentier clock set

In my examination of the clock set, I found the gilt to be vibrant overall, with some rubbing on one clock foot and in raised areas (the cherubs’ knees and elbows, for example). It is our opinion that the clock retains its original movement, as evident by the matching marks on the movement and clock face. One of the garnitures is lacking the decorative vertical finial screw cover. The clock has not been electrified, and retains its pendulum and key. Our gallery observed the clock running for 15 minutes.
