(lot of 4) Empire style carved wood architectural ornaments, in two pairs, each modeled as a Greek sphinx, all finished to one side only, on integral platform, largest: approx 20"h, 3.5"w, 21"d, 22lbs total
8.27.25-In my opinion regarding LOT: 2126 – the architectural elements are overall stable and decorated to one side, they were likely built in, they present a rustic character with expected signs of age and use, including both painted and undecorated surfaces, scattered areas of paint loss and flaking, rubs, nicks, and wear to the wood, some painted touchups are visible with variation to the gold paint, one example is intact with a glue repair to the scrolled endpiece, all wear and restorations are minor and commensurate with their architectural use
