(lot of 4) Contemporary wood dining chairs, Fernando Campana (Brazilian, 1961-2022) and Humberto Campana (Brazilian, b.1953) for Estudio Campana, Sao Paulo, c.1999, prototypes for the "Jenette" model, seat backs comprised of PVC threads concealing iron frame, over shallow scoop seat, rising on tapering squared legs, threads with overall separation from seat back, some detached and bent, all commensurate with degradation of adhesive, approx 37.5"h, 16.5"w, 20.5"d, seat height: approx 18"h **Note: another group of four matching dining chairs offered in this auction** **Provenance: Treasures from the vaults of a Dallas designer. 09/24/2026: In my opinion regarding LOT 1234: Please note that based upon the findings of this condition report, the images and description have been amended, exposure to heat/ humidity has resulted in the degradation of the adhesive joining the PVC threads to the iron back, as such the set exhibits overall separation, as well as bending and detachment, additionally, this set is currently staged in an area of our showroom that is largely inaccessible, and at this late time before the auction begins tomorrow, we do not have the staff availability to move the chairs to an accessible area, additionally the threaded backs have been encased in plastic wrap in an attempt to prevent further separation to the threads that may occur with heat exposure, we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience, I note that all chairs are structurally secure, the frames having typical minor surface wear such as small spots of discoloration and nicks along edges, the PVC threads also with areas of discoloration/ staining that may benefit from a gentle cleaning, the described surface wear is commensurate with age and use
