1.15.26- In my opinion regarding LOT 1288: I note that all chairs are structurally sturdy, the caning is overall well-preserved with some typical light tonal variations, close examination does not reveal notable losses beyond a few minute segments, most of which are only detached at one end (see images), these minute segments of loss do not affect the structural integrity of the caning and are typical and commensurate with age and use, the gilt mounts around the edges of seats remain secure, and there is sparse, minor evidence of old woodworm commensurate with origin
