(lot of 4) Military Flare Guns & One Modern Olin: (1) U.S. WWII-Era Model M8 Signal Pistol marked at right frame within a triangle "M, S.W.C. (McInery Spring & Wire Co., Grand Rapids, MI) over U.S. Property Pistol Pyrotechnic", the serial number "274159" on backstrap, the 4.1/8" barrel with four lugs near the muzzle, at barrel top a lower lever for chamber access and an upper lever for attaching the lugs to an aircraft firing port, back plastic checkered grips, the butt marked with "F" and the circular U.S. Ordnance crossed cannons proof, finish loss, double action working correctly; (1) German WWII Leuchtpistole 42 flare having the maker code: a German eagle over "359, of Walther, Zella-Mehlis, Thuringia; the left frame with "ac" over "42", and serial number "1876b", the part round, part octagonal barrel opens with a forward push of the lever at the front of the trigger guard, the barrel is 6"l, and approx.1.1/16:diameter, the right frame with maker marks as described above, black plastic checkered grips, lanyard ring at butt with attached black leather lanyard, the flare fun overall with an estimated 80% original finish, scratches, hammer and trigger work correctly, housed in a black leather holster marked at the back WWII German Eagle, Swastika, maker code 727 and 1944 (holster likely a reproduction); (1) Soviet Republic Era, approx. 1" diameter at muzzle, the left frame marked "1954" over an arrow within an oval and SN "No AM-629" (A without cross bar-EL or L), various proof marks, the barrel, approx. 5.7/8"l, opens by pushing the serrated area at lower end of trigger, dark finish with wear and scratching including initials at left rear upper frame, black plastic grips, lanyard loop at butt, action operates correctly, now housed in a Swiss bag with cartridge loops and two expended flare cartridges; (1) Olin 25mm Signal Flare Launcher with finish loss, includes 12gauge sleeve, housed in Olin hard plastic box, for shipping largest measurement approx. 12.25" x 10" x 3.5", total of all approx. 10.30lbs Detailed condition reports are not included in this catalog.
