(lot of 5) Collection of Southeast Asian Buddha figures, Thailand, including: (1) silver (content unknown) clad seated Buddha surrounded by the Naga Mucalinda, with arms in dhyana (a gesture of meditation) mudra, (1) carved horn seated Buddha, in the Dhyana Mudra, center chest with carved swastika symbol (derived from the Sanskrit 'svastika,' meaning "conducive to well-being," and used in Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism), (1) Buddha holding an alms bowl, rising on circular base, (1) metal standing Buddha in Abhaya (have no fear) Mudra, center chest with swastika symbol, lacking cabochon to forehead, (1) standing Buddha with robe and hands together, lacking mongkut ornament to ushnisha, not secured to base, largest: approx 6.75"h, 1.75"w, 3lbs **Provenance: from a California collection**
