02.19.24: In my opinion regarding LOT 625: I note that all chairs are presently intact and structurally sturdy, with minor splits and paint wear/ loss to the frame commensurate with age and use, the splits being mostly contained to the top rail of the seat back, the caning is taut to the seat back framing, and I observe two with a tear near the lower edge, and another chair has a minute spot of tearing/ loss near the top rail, the caning displays inherent tonal variation, the back leg of one chair has a small area of loss to the square knee at joinery point and has been reinforced with a visible nail or screw, the upholstery is well-bound and secure to the frame with some having minor loose threads along the seam, and all display patination of nailhead trim
