10.23.25 - In my opinion regarding LOT: 3098 – please note I am not an expert on such pieces and have included detailed images for your review, the overall group remains intact with varied degrees of wear and possible restoration, a UV light examination reveals evidence of scattered areas of overpainting throughout, with (one) shell dish showing several minute stable hairlines at the rim, very minor, the larger handled dish presents a small stable hairline or firing flaw near one handle, there typical rubs and loss to gilt and gilt and painted decoration throughout, the covered piece and both underplates exhibit uneven fluorescence suggesting possible old professional restoration, both having a yellowed tone to glaze, the knop and handles of the covered piece appear to have been retouched or restored, all consistent with age, use, and prior conservation efforts
