An American flag recovered at The World Trade Center complex in the rubble near WTC Building 3, “The Marriott World Trade Center” (originally the “Vista Hotel”), the flag was found by a first responder to the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack, the 22 story WTC 3 building, located between Twin Tower 1 and 2,  was first seriously damaged by an al-Queda 1993 bomb placed in a sub-level garage at a point nearest Tower WTC 1, on 9/11 the building was struck by falling debris, first from the 101 story Tower 2 and shortly thereafter from the 101 story Tower 1, both incidents causing WTC 3 to collapse, the flag with holes and tears that bear witness to the destruction, and retaining gray matter from the debris plume was signed by numerous first responders working on the cleanup of the site and includes the name its’ now anonymous finder, many of those signers listed their organization names and unit numbers, near the flag center is the signature of then New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani who signed during an inspection tour of the area, the flag is approx. 44”h, 73.25”w
