9.11.23-LOT 1470- there is no apparent signature, I observe craquelure throughout the painting, a few marks and a few very small minor areas of flaking to paint, particularly at subjects coat, above his head, and upper middle right canvas along edge, see images, the canvas is possibly relined, however, I am unsure, there are impressions in upper and right side canvas outer perimeter, not affecting the subject, a UV examination further illustrates the craquelure, old varnish, minimal evidence of inpainting, the frame has some overall wear and loss of gilt with visible gesso as well as wood losses ( particularly along the bottom), I am not an expert on such paintings, so please feel free to let me know should you have further questions
