6.7.2---LOT –1472--The canvas is loose in the frame and wavy (not taught), there is overall heavy craquelure, UV light examination shows all described below as well as old varnish, there are some small areas of paint loss throughout particularly at child on the furthest rights hand, center child’s leg extending to foot, and the rail by lady at lower left quadrant, there’s what appears to be either an abrasion or inpainting along the top right rounded edge (visible under UV light), the frame itself has typical gilt loss, some glue restoration to applied carvings, hairlines, and tonal variation where paint has been touched up.
