10.25.24: In my opinion regarding LOT 1052: I note that the ashtray is presently intact, with some minor flaked losses to the cold-painted finish of the bronze such as the minute spots on the paws of one dog, the tail of another, bronze appears securely joined to the tray, the onyx displays inherent natural inclusions and fissures, there are a small number of minor chips along the top edge of tray, and a minute chip on the left side edge of the basin, sparse minor chipping is typical and is commensurate with age and use, there are a couple of natural fissures in the basin that appear to have minor ash remnants within the naturally-occurring seam and could likely be resolved with a thorough cleaning, UV light examination reveals a hairline or natural fissure at the reverse of tray with professional filled reinforcement
