10.31.25 - Please note that I am not an expert on such items, the plaque is held within the frame by a few aged nails, it would benefit from more secure mounting, a careful UV light examination is unremarkable revealing no evidence of chips, cracks, or restoration, the painted surface is finely executed with exceptional retention of detail, I note only a slight variation in finish to the upper right corner and a few minute traces of surface wear consistent with gentle age, the gilt foliate frame remains intact with scattered minor losses to projecting elements and localized adhesive repairs visible upon close inspection, the gilding is bright and largely present exhibiting a bright patina and subtle tonal variation, overall the piece presents well with the portrait image sharply defined and well maintained, all noted minimal and commensurate with age
