Vivienne 19, time-and-strike movement marked B.D. Condition

03.14.25: In my opinion regarding LOT 2293: As described by the cataloger, the clock is not currently operational as it is lacking a pendulum, as well as a key, a review of its internal workings using a universal winding key find the following regarding its functionality: the suspension spring is intact and the clock is retaining a bell and striker, which resound well when manually struck. It appears to be slightly wound tight and is somewhat difficult to turn when wound. The movement does not respond to winding. As for the physical condition of the case, as mentioned in the description, the case is in overall good condition with some typical small chips and glue repairs to the carved elements, as well as small minor splits to the wood, the glass currently free from observed chips or fractures/ hairlines, with minor residue near edges that would benefit from cleaning, the dial with typical minute flaked enamel loss encircling the edge, as with all of our antique clocks, this piece would likely benefit from a professional adjustment and cleaning
