British 1796 Pattern Sword or Spadroon, the 32.75" straight blade engraved with foliage, flags, sword. and drum, the ricasso marked within an oval "W.S & C", the brass double shell guard hinged at one side and fixed at the opposite side, a wire wrapped brass handle, the knuckle guard with a silver thread sword knot, the crown like pommel ending in a rectangle with crowned shield having rampant lions, Maltese crosses and more, the sword approx. 39"l, housed in brass and leather scabbard, overall approx. 39.25"l, 1.65lbs
