Continental marble-top mahogany commode, late 19th c., shaped white marble top, above a shallow frieze drawer, three deep drawers below, corner posts carved with scrolls and foliage, on front bun feet, approx 39.25"h, 49.5"w, 22.5"d **Note: matching pair of bedside cabinets offered in this auction**
07.30.25: In my opinion, I note that the commode is structurally sturdy, the marble top having inherent natural inclusions, as well as typical minor chipping to edges and corners, and some light staining commensurate with age and use, the drawers operate smoothly and the interiors are overall well-kept, the side panels exhibit some minute panel separation, some with filled reinforcement, and there are some scattered minor veneer chips, most with filled concealment, concentrated near drawer edges and commensurate with use, the finish retains an overall rich, uniform tone
