In my opinion regarding LOT: 1285- due to gallery location I am unable to fully access the commode, please refer to online images complete with zoom for best and full views, the chest is in stable and sturdy condition, exhibiting age, as pictured, the two plank top is intact with a visible gap, the whole exhibits scattered small wood losses, nicks rubs, small areas of trim loss, tonal variation, the handles have possibly been replaced as there are small filled areas noted at each panel, drawers operate smoothly, the top slide is intact but seems to be lacking a stop, so will push in deep, this is an easy fix, drawer interiors are largely clean with light dirt, and some separation noted to panels, the lowest drawer has contact paper affixed to the base, possibly due to gapping in the panel, I feel a slightly loose piece of wood, feet are intact with old repairs, fill and nicks, see images, all mentioned commensurate with the 18thc. age and use of the piece
