10/20/2026: In my opinion regarding LOT 3589: As described the writing surface is lacking leather pull tabs to either side, I note that the box remains tight on hinges, the brass cartouche and escutcheon remain securely inlaid and exhibit patination, the writing surface having typical wear including light abrasions and separation along the central plane, leather remains securely bound throughout the perimeter of writing surface, concealed drawer release operates as expected, interiors are overall well-kept/ clean
