Condition

02.09.26 - In my opinion regarding LOT 2238: Please see attached for your requested image of the back, please note that the back paneling appears to have modern replacements which is not uncommon, I note that the structure stands sturdy, the mirror plates are free from observed hairlines/ fractures, having typical minor silver losses and sparse, light hazing, the veneer having scattered stable splits and some small losses, some with filled reinforcement, mostly occurring at the segments of trim (see images), the fall-front and doors remain tight on hinges, and drawers operate smoothly, the upper side panels with stable separation that has filled reinforcement, the leather inset writing surface with a central seam of separation inherent to the folding nature of the fall-front, also having light spotting and minor peeling, interiors are overall well-kept/ clean, I observe typical minor surface wear such as small chips, nicks, and abrasions commensurate with age and use
