8.22.24-LOT 2130: I note that the box is presently intact and structurally secure, with brass mounts appearing secure to the panels and having light patination with tonal variations, the back panel of the box exhibits light spotting commensurate with age and origin, the central right of the top region of hinged lid appears to have a filled restoration (see image), and the varnish has small, minor textural flaws in some areas, the interior lining of the box remains secure and has a couple minor stains to the fabric lining the lid interior, the back corner of the right hand side of box has a minute spot of surface-level chipping along the edge commensurate with use, the interior dimensions of the box measure approximately 5.25”h, 8”w, 3 5/8”d
