Exceptional Swiss Black Forest finely carved walnut box on stand, late 19th c., signed K. Michel SCP at top, hinged top with three antelope standing atop rocky outcrop, revealing open interior, above recessed panels depicting wolves, rabbit, and muskrat among hunt-related instruments, all carved in high relief, front facade with couple in woodland setting, back panel revealing two men conversing in forest, sides depicting figural hunters, flanked by game animals, rising on shaped table with cabriole legs, ending on scrolled feet, adhesive label A. H. J. 5.28.24-In my opinion regarding LOT: 4215-The structure stands sturdy, as described, there are some typical very small scattered losses to protruding carvings throughout, the visible tabletop shows some tonal variation, and light spotting, wood displays only light wear, the lid opens on stapled straps to a spacious interior that is clean, all mentioned commensurate with age and use
