09/18/2026: In my opinion regarding LOT 3206: As described the candelabra are in need of wiring, upon close visual examination, I note that the desk stands sturdy, all drawers operate smoothly, and retain overall well-kept/ clean interiors, bronze mounts remain secure throughout, including one foliated mount at the right-hand side of cartonnier with a stable fracture that remains intact, some with later screws/ hardware, the bronze having typical light tonal variations associated with varied degrees of patination and mellowing, overall the ormolu retains a warm tone of the gilding, the painted writing surface having craquelure throughout, as well as a few minute flaked paint losses near edges commensurate with age and use, the back left leg remains secure with a seam of separation at joinery to apron, the veneer overall having areas of minor finish crazing, mostly occurring at the veneer trimming the drawers, also having a few minor veneer chips with age and use, as well as some small, stable splits along the grain of veneer, I observe small scattered professional filled concealment and reinforcements of pre-existing veneer flaws, as well as small areas of finish touch ups
