8.26.25-In my opinion regarding LOT: 3294 – the structure is overall sturdy and stable, carvings remain overall well defined, with only typical small scattered wood losses/chips, rubs, and minor nicks, I note a few molded repairs at the base, including one to the right foot and another to a lower scroll, see images, some minor touchups, there is evidence of old woodworm throughout the structure, as typical of its Italian origin, tonal variation to the finish, the concealed lift-top cabinet above the doors operates smoothly, and the bottom panel appears intact, doors are slightly warped, however the lock operates with the key and the doors remain securely closed, glazed panels are intact and free of apparent chips or cracks, one back panel appears replaced, with some minor gapping observed to back and side panels there is a small hole at the lower left back panel, and small knot hole at center back panel bottom, see images, shelving and bottom panel retain a worn liner that would benefit from replacement, the lower drawer lacks its locking mechanism completely, a key accompanies the lot to assist in opening the drawer, waxing would further improve its movement, the two right side panels are intact with typical stable splits, all mentioned commensurate with the 19th century age, origin and use of the bookcase
