08.13.2026- In my opinion regarding LOT 3003: As described the frame exhibits areas of gilt-painted touch-ups and a minor glue repair at the upper left corner, because the verso of the plaque is visible from the back of frame, we did not remove the plaque, however I cannot speak to if the plaque was removed from framing prior to its arrival at our facility, close visual examination does not reveal chipping or hairlines/ fractures, the surface of the plaque has a slight iridescent sheen in some areas, however I do not know it’s origin or purpose, UV light examination is unremarkable and does not exhibit evidence of restoration, the plaque is held into the frame via nails at the back, the sight margins of the frame are ill-fitting and plaque has a tendency to slide when handling, however the plaque remains securely affixed within and gaps are not visible from a frontal view
