CR 8.9.23-The work was examined on the wall, please refer to online images for photo of the back, I am not an expert on works such as this, so please ask questions should you have any, the canvas is likely a relined, as it is taught, a UV examination reveals old varnish, some areas of inpainting, some overall craquelure, the lower left quadrant shows some light splatter that appears to be removable, the canvas would likely benefit from a professional cleaning, there are a few areas of scattered very minor paint flakes, see images, come, the UV examination further reveals a stretcher line along top canvas, there is a line running up the left side about 1.5”from frame edge, I am unsure if this is a repair or something else as it is not readily apparent to the eye, I have taken numerous images for your review, the frame is with overall distressed remnants of gilt, and some small losses to wood
