5.21.24-In my opinion regarding LOT: 4369-the tapestry was examined hanging on the wall, and therefore I cannot currently assess the back or top of the tapestry, I note some loss to weft thread throughout and some loss to the fine stitching between transition colors causing a visible seam/ opening, some small gaping/holes and pulls throughout, some overall tonal variation, possible color bleeding near figures heads, spotting, and discoloration throughout, there is possible sewn repair with color variation at left side and visible line, please see images, all commensurate with age. Please see attached images for your review. I am not an expert on such tapestries, please do let me know if you have further questions. the frame appears intact with some small losses, nicks and discoloration, particularly noted at corners, the tapestry is slightly loose in the frame.
