08.29.24: In my opinion regarding LOT 1151: I note that the chair is presently intact and structurally sturdy, as described the leather upholstery is worn, the degree of wear is typical within club chairs of a 1930s origin, the wear includes varying degrees of peeling, tonal variations from areas of mars and patination discolorations as well as some staining and fading, and typical abrasions and scuffs commensurate with age and use, the seat does not exhibit the same degree of wear and we believe it to have a protective finishing agent that prevents peeling, also having a slight tonal variation from the rest of leather upholstery, additionally I observe a couple losses, patination, and wear to the nail head trim about the verso of seat back
