03.25.25: In my opinion regarding LOT 3077: I note that the tapestry is presently intact, with inherent hanging threads original to the creation visible at the reverse and edges, the tapestry overall with some scattered minute loose threads, there are minor areas of broken weft and open warps, appearing as gaps or small holes in the weave, as well as typical separation at opening slits (these slits are original to creation, these slits are used in the weaving process to change fiber colors or create a design element, and are then stitched up, breakage of the stitching fibers sealing these slits), these areas of separation in the weave are typical of antique tapestries and are commensurate with 19th century origin, a review of the reverse side reveals several scattered professional stitched repairs, affected areas are remarkably well-blended into the weave, overall I observe typical minor runs, as well as sun fading and light discoloration from surface grime commensurate with age and use/ hanging
