In my opinion regarding LOT: 3473 – please note the photographs were taken in a very cramped area of the gallery and the surface is reflective, any white visible in the images is glare and not damage, the marble top is intact with minor chipping along the edges, I observe a few chips of varied size to the top and bottom edges on front and both sides, as pictured, the case exhibits tonal variation with light wood wear scattered nicks and small veneer losses consistent with use, the drawers slide smoothly and interiors remain fairly clean, the side panels display vertical splits as visible in the images, all stable and most are filled, overall the chest remains sturdy and functional with wear commensurate with age and use
