03.08.24: In my opinion regarding LOT 1462: I note that the screen is presently intact and structurally stable, with the tapestry appearing secure and taut within framing, I note light fading and staining to the tapestry as well as minor snags, the fabric lining to the screen verso exhibits staining, minor tearing, and an area of fraying along bottom edge of one panel, the tapestry scenes remain legible, and the framing displays gilt tonal variation with some minor areas of paint touch up, splits that do not appear to be structurally integral, and minor surface wear such as minute chips and abrasions to carved elements and edges, all commensurate with age and use
