07/06/2026: In my opinion regarding LOT 3426: Upon close examination, I observe small gaps between the cloche and the base at either end (see images), leading me to believe the set may not be original, however it is also possible that the cloche was not a true a fit to the base from conception and cannot be certain, the cloche and base exhibit comparable age and are believed to originate within the same time period, the cloche having typical minor chipping and fleabites consistent with inherent rubs/ contact against the base, the base with typical losses to the black painted finish commensurate with age and use, the faux floral elements with a few stray wires related to sparse flower bud losses that are overall minute and consistent with age
