French Louis Philippe period burled walnut commode, mid 19th c., having rounded marble top, over protruding frieze drawer, and three long drawers, rising on ogee bracket feet, approx 36"h, 49.75"w, 22.25"d
CR 1.5.26 - In my opinion regarding LOT: 2157- the structure is in sturdy and stable condition, the marble top is intact with a small chip at left back edge, there are typical minute chips/roughness along natural back edge and sides, light staining and some scattered small abrasions, the case is well figured with drawers sliding smoothly, I note minor nicks, tonal variation, some light blemishes and general slight wear, there is a minor veneer loss to the larger upper drawer at lower corner, both side panels display stable filled separation, drawer interiors are clean with only little wear, all mentioned minor and commensurate with the mid 19thc. age and use of the commode
