French Louis Philippe period flame mahogany commode, mid 19th c., having marble top, above four drawers, topmost drawer revealing sectioned interior, rising on bun feet, approx 36.25"h, 51.25"w, 23"d **Provenance: The Tarrytown, Austin, Texas estate of Janice Holliman Stanfield**
10.23.25 - In my opinion regarding LOT 3437: I note that the commode stands sturdy, the marble top is free from observed hairlines/ fractures, with some typical minute flea bite chipping, mostly along the unfinished back edge, drawers operate smoothly and interiors are overall well-kept/ clean and retain contact paper lining, I observe some minor separation at the side panels that remains stable, and a small segment of trim loss at the upper left-hand corner just below the frieze drawer, there is a sparse amount of typical minor surface wear such as small nicks, chips, and light abrasions commensurate with age and use
