02.07.24: In my opinion regarding LOT 1557: I note that the commode is presently intact and structurally sturdy, the marble top exhibits sparse inherent natural inclusions, as well as scattered abrasions, water spotting and rings, and minor chips to the edges, there is minor evidence of old woodworm concentrated near the upper corner edges, the drawers are a bit sticky, particularly when closing but operational, as are the lock plates, and the escutcheons express patination/ oxidation, and I observe a couple minor splits the drawers, with minor surface wear to the case being mostly contained to the apron
