09/24/2026: In my opinion regarding LOT : 2382- hanging hardware may have been added since the time of photography, it is our opinion that the mirror dates to the Louis Philippe period, mid 19th century, the frame is overall intact, the original bright gilding has mellowed with age and exhibits scattered rubs, areas of gilt loss and wear revealing the underlying iron oxide pigment, with minor nicks and small areas of wood wear and loss, the flat mirror plate is intact with no evident chips or cracks, it exhibits pronounced horizontal streaking, hazing, spotting and areas of silvering loss consistent with age, in my opinion, overall the mirror retains a warm and attractive antique patina
